There are a number of resources included with Claris Home Page 3.0 that allow you to easily connect your web page to a FileMaker database. You can add this connectivity to your Web pages through a number of different resources.1. FileMaker Pro Connection Assistant
This assistant is recommended if you are creating a database connectivity solution in your site for the first time. This easy-to-use assistant takes you through the steps to create a web site that accesses your FileMaker database, so that your Web audience can create records, update and/or delete records, depending on the privileges you set . You can access the Assistant by choosing "New" from the File menu. Please note: FileMaker Pro 4.0, available separately from Claris Home Page, is required to use the Assistant and run your solutions on the Web.2. FileMaker Template Solutions included on the CD
Included on this CD are examples of web sites that access example FileMaker databases, which are also included. They include a simple guest book, an online catalog example and an employee database. These HTML templates also include helpful comments (which you can view in Edit Source mode) that explain the special Claris Dynamic Markup Language (CDML) tags used to connect the elements on your web page to your database. These templates, especially the guest book, are good examples for introducing database connectivity into your Web site or for solutions that are ready to use with little or no modification!3. FileMaker CDML Libraries
This powerful feature is a great resource for more advanced users who have had experience connecting to a FileMaker database or with FileMaker Pro and Claris Home Page in general. Claris Home Page 3.0 comes with FileMaker CDML Libraries that include the special tags needed to connect your FileMaker Pro database to your web site. With the CDML Libraries, you can create format files from scratch or edit the format files you create with the FileMaker Connection Assistan
